Cooperative Benefits

Mabel Cooperative Telephone Company is a cooperative. What does this mean for you? You are a member of the company! The income derived from our operations is paid back to our customers based on the services you purchase from us, called capital credits. Capital credits are paid on local service, long distance and broadband services. Each year you will receive a patronage allocation notice showing the capital credit dollars that have been applied to your account based on the business you did with the cooperative. The board of directors vote annually on how much to retire or “pay back” based on the financial needs of the cooperative. The company “pays” you to do business with us!!

Members are encouraged to attend the annual meeting held each year and have an opportunity to run for the board of directors.
